Third Seed Petra Kvitova Into US Open Second Round

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova breezed into the second round of the US Open on Tuesday with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Kristina Mladenovic. (Also Read: Ana Ivanovic Enters Second Round)
The third-seeded Czech didn't surrender a service break in the 54-minute contest, breaking France's 73rd-ranked Mladenovic five times.
She'll face another Czech -- either Klara Koukalova or Petra Cetkovska, for a place in the third round.
