World No. 1 Rafael Nadal has beaten Nikolay Davydenko 6-3, 6-2 to reach his fifth straight Barcelona Open final.
The top-ranked Spaniard will take on either countryman David Ferrer or Chile's Fernando Gonzalez, who plays later on Saturday.
Nadal saved three break points in the first set and broke the ninth-ranked Russian twice.
Davydenko then suffered from unforced errors and failed to convert three more break points in the fifth game of the second set, as Nadal held on for a 4-1 lead.
It was Nadal's 24th straight win on clay. He is the four-time defending champion in Barcelona.
