Martic, Johansson into 1st WTA semis in Bogota
Petra Martic of Croatia reached her first WTA semifinals when she beat Laura Pous-Tio of Spain 7-6 (4), 6-3 at the Copa Colsanitas on Friday.

Petra Martic of Croatia reached her first WTA semifinals when she beat Laura Pous-Tio of Spain 7-6 (4), 6-3 at the Copa Colsanitas on Friday.
Martic's previous best results were three quarterfinals- all in Europe.
On Saturday, Martic will meet seventh-seeded Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain, the 2006 Bogota champion. Dominguez Lino beat compatriot and qualifier Beatriz Garcia Vidagany 6-4, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.
The other semifinal will also mark the first on tour for Mathilde Johansson of France, after two appearances in the last eight.
Johansson topped Colombian wild card Catalina Castano 6-3, 7-6 (5) and will play fifth-seeded Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain.
Suarez Navarro beat Han Xinyun of China 6-4, 6-3.
