Game, Set and Match for Sania

Hyderabad:

Sania Mirza has met her match in another Mirza (Sohrab) of Hyderabad and on Friday the two will be engaged. But this ceremony has not been without its share of off-court drama.

Sania has kept the Banjara Hills police on their toes for the last couple of days. First, it was this college dropout Ashraf who flew in all the way from Kerala and arrived at Sania's home in Hyderabad to propose to the tennis star and tell her not to get engaged to anyone but him.

The police had just about nabbed him and filed cases against him when on Thursday another man from Uttar Pradesh landed at Sania's doorstep. He too ended up with a date with the men in uniform.

Hyderabad police on Thursday picked up 24-year-old Arvind Singh Yadav when he reached Sania's house to express his desire to marry India's top woman tennis player.

On Friday evening, Sania will be formally engaged Sohrab, whose family owns a popular bakery in Hyderabad.

However, the tennis star has made it clear that the game will not take a backseat. Soon after the engagement, Sania will fly to the US to be part of the action at Flushing Meadows.
