Stockholm:
India's Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi advanced to the men's doubles quarterfinals of the 600,000 Euro Stockholm Open tennis.
The top-seeded India-Pakistan pair defeated Julian Knowle of Austria and Poland's Lukasz Kubot 6-4, 6-4 in the first round here Tuesday.
They now await the winner of the opening round match between Germany's Michael Kohlmann and Alexander Waske and wildcard pair of Martin Emmrich of Germany and Andreas Siljestrom of Sweden.
Bopanna and Qureshi, champions earlier this year at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany, are currently No.7 for Battle for London -- the ATP World Tour Finals next month -- with just three qualifying spots left for grabs.
