Stars added to the Australian Open glitter on the first day of the Grand Slam in Melbourne on Monday. The biggest sparkle though was when Andy Murray came out for his first-round match. And it cost 200,000 Pounds!
Recently engaged, Murray's fiancee - Kim Sears - was seen cheering with her ring glistening under the warm Melbourne sun. Every shot that Murray played against India's Yuki Bhambri was applauded by Kim - giving fans ample look at the large diamond on her finger.
On court, it was a tough battle. In the stands, it was a casual day out in the Australian summer. Kim chose to wear a floral dress and had her hair in bouncy curls for the opening day. Her man eventually emerged a 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 winner. (Also read: Yuki made it tricky for me to win, says Murray)
Attention to detail, in fact, is the hallmark of Murray. While he is a hard-working player on the court, he is also known to be meticulous in his personal life. The Scott personally chose the ring with which he proposed Kim last year and the two plan to tie the knot soon.
