India produced another superlative performance, outclassing Thailand 73-20 in the Kabaddi World Cup 2016 semi-finals to set up a final clash against Iran, who edged out South Korea in the other semis.
India have been on fire after their shock loss to South Korea in the opening match and once again were in cracking form to leave their opponents stunned.
The quickness and ferocity of India's raids and the cohesiveness in defence left Thailand a mountain to climb and the latter failed to do so quite miserably.
India came out all guns firing and quickly opened up a 15-3 lead. Backed by a boisterous crowd that lead had swelled to 36-8 by halftime.
The hosts had won 22 raid points and 8 tackle points in the first half and continued their impressive showing in the second half.
They reached the 50-point mark with another 'All-Out' as Thailand failed to even get on board in first seven minutes of the second half.
It was just a formality after that as the Indians put on a show for the capacity crowd
India will now take on Iran in the final on Saturday. Iran beat South Korea in a low scoring thriller in the earlier semifinal of the day.
Iran came back from 11-13 down to beat the Koreans by 28-22.
Meraj Sheykh was the top scorer for Iran as he finished with seven points followed by Abozar Mighani adding four crucial points for his side.
