Sunil Narine wins the 'Player of the Match' award. A superb spell of 2/29 in 4 overs. On a day where batters feasted at the Eden Gardens, Narine perhaps made the difference with the ball. He picked up the wicket of the dangerous Shubman Gill too.

Finn Allen a worthy shout too, playing a special knock of 93 off 35.

Gujarat Titans fail to secure their playoffs qualification. They remain on 16 points and still in second spot on the IPL 2026 points table. A rare off day for their bowling unit, and they couldn't mount a victorious chase.

Kolkata Knight Riders clinch victory in their 100th game at Eden Gardens. They put up a spectacular show with the bat, led by Finn Allen and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. With the ball, Sunil Narine delivered in the crunch stage once again, taking two crucial wickets.

KKR move up to 7th spot, on 11 points. Now, they're just 2 points off the Top 4!

KKR WIN! Cameron Green takes a wicket with the final ball as the men in purple and gold seal their fifth win of the season. They keep the playoffs race wide open, as GT slip up and fail to seal their spot just yet.

Sai Sudharsan slams 6, brings up 50! 27 balls to get to the milestone. It looked worrying when he went off early with the elbow injury, but has come back out and played a good knock. Too little, too late for GT, though.

GONE! Saurabh Dubey dismisses Jos Buttler! What a sensational 19th over from the uncapped 6'5" left-arm pacer. 2 terrific yorkers first up to Sai Sudharsan, and then Buttler departs on the penultimate ball of the over.

GT need 40 off the last. It's mathematically impossible if KKR bowl 6 legal balls.

Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler hammer Kartik Tyagi for 21! 2 sixes and 2 boundaries in the over. Gujarat Titans need 45 runs off their final 2 overs. Pressure on both sides here, but KKR surely favourites still.

We are back! The run chase is underway, with Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill opening the batting for Gujarat Titans. They need to pull off their highest-ever chase tonight. Saurabh Dubey is opening the bowling for KKR.

This is the highest total conceded by Gujarat Titans in IPL history. A rare off day for their star-studded bowling attack. Only 1 bowler finished with an economy-rate of less than 10 (Jason Holder, 9.8).

Finn Allen smashed it to all parts of the ground in the first half of the innings, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi toyed with the field in the second half. Both players benefitted from dropped catches, and made GT pay a heavy, heavy price.

A huge score for KKR. Cameron Green completes his half-century in the final over, which was bowled by Rashid Khan. Raghuvanshi picks up another 4 too with a reverse lap shot. KKR end on 247/2 in 20 overs.

Cameron Green to the party! He clobbers Sai Kishore for 2 massive sixes over wide long-on, and bags a boundary as well. Terrific start from the Australian, who was bought for Rs 25.20 crore in the auction.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi gets into the act! He is now nearing a half-century. Slams a boundary after a misfield near the practice pitches at wide long-off, and then slams a 6 over deep square-leg to end the over. He is up to 43!

GONE! GT get their man at last, Finn Allen falls 7 short of what would've been another century. The Kiwi looks to go big again, but gets caught right at the edge of the boundary rope by Rashid Khan.

Finn Allen smashes another 6! Holder comes back in and Allen hammers him over long-on for another maximum. Raghuvanshi is not flying at the other end, but Allen's big hits are keeping KKR going at more than 10 per over.

Mohammed Siraj has dropped a sitter! Finn Allen mistimes it horribly, should've been a simple catch for Siraj at long-on, but he puts it down. Raghuvanshi adds insult to injury by flicking the next ball for 6.

Scooped for 6! Angkrish Raghuvanshi had started off slow, but finally gets a move-on by slamming Rabada for a maximum. Great shot by the youngster. It's a solid start for KKR. 56 in the powerplay, mostly scored by Finn Allen.

Close! Shubman Gill takes the DRS as Kagiso Rabada traps Angkrish Raghuvanshi on the pads. The umpire gave not out, but hawkeye shows it's quite close. Umpire's call on wickets though, so Raghuvanshi survives.

BOWLED! Ajinkya Rahane slams Siraj for 4, but the pacer strikes back with a sharp inswinger, knocking off the stumps! Rahane is gone for 14 off 14, another poor outing for the KKR skipper.

Finn Allen goes after Kagiso Rabada! 2 massive sixes in a row! First one is slammed straight back over the bowler for 6, and the second is clobbered over deep mid-wicket! The Kiwi has provided a fast start once again.

Finn Allen gets away with a leading edge, and then slams 2 boundaries in a row! Flashes the first one over short third-man for 4, and then another inside edge goes for 4 through fine-leg. Not at his fluent best yet, but runs flowing for the Kiwi.

Oh and he's been dropped! Allen swings hard on the final ball of the third over, fielder at cover jumps and tries to take it, but fails to hold on. Difficult chance. Allen survives again.

3 dots and then maximum! Rahane looks to attack through the off-side, the ball goes over third-man for 6. Much-needed after a cautious start from the KKR skipper.

We are LIVE! Finn Allen and Ajinkya Rahane are out to open for KKR. Mohammed Siraj is going to open the bowling in the powerplay. He has been in fine form this IPL, regularly keeping things tight in the opening overs.

KKR have only won 1 match this season batting first, and even that came in the Super Over. So, a lot of pressure on their batting unit, which has the potential to be really explosive, but hasn't been consistent this season.

Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill is 121 runs away from completing 6,000 runs in T20 cricket. Meanwhile, KKR's Kiwi opener Finn Allen is just 13 runs away from the 5,500-run mark in T20s.

KKR's selections have left some confused during IPL 2026. In particular, Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana, who was bought for Rs 18 crore in the auction, has not played a single match so far. In their last game, West Indies' Rovman Powell neither batted nor bowled, raising question marks over why Pathirana did not play and add more bite to the KKR bowling.

GT lead KKR 4-1 when it comes to the head-to-head record between the 2 teams. 1 match finished as a no-result. Interestingly, KKR's only win came when Rinku Singh smashed 5 sixes in the last over to win the game!

KKR's Rs 12 crore spinner  Varun Chakravarthy missed out their previous game against RCB due to injury, and that hurt the men in purple and gold as their bowling attack lacked teeth against Virat Kohli and co. Chakravarthy was seen bowling in the nets ahead of the match, and KKR will hope he's fit enough to play today.

Shubman Gill coming back to play his old franchise is always a storyline surrounding a KKR-GT match. Gill has been in fine form in IPL 2026, with 467 runs in 11 matches. Will he fire on all cylinders to haunt his old home again?

If Gujarat Titans win today, they will book their spot in the playoffs. Shubman Gill's side have peaked at the right time, winning 5 games in a row. Another win would take them up to 18 points, guaranteeing qualification to the playoffs.

There is a major worry over the possibility of rain playing spoilsport during today's match. As per Google Weather, there is a 50% chance of rain in Kolkata around 7:00 PM IST, which is close to toss time. 

Yesterday, it had rained in Kolkata after 8 PM. While the rain forecast for that period is 0% today, there will certainly be some fear amongst fans and players.
