Kagiso Rabada wins the 'Player of the Match' award. 3 wickets today, he joins Bhuvneshwar Kumar on 21 wickets at the top of the Purple Cap leaderboard. He missed almost the entire season for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025, but he has turned things around phenomenally in IPL 2026.

Gujarat Titans go top of the IPL 2026 points table. It is their biggest-ever victory, by margin of runs. Their net-run-rate (NRR) improves to +0.55. A sensational bowling performance. Mohammed Siraj started off with a wicket-maiden, Kagiso Rabada took 3 more, Jason Holder struck thrice too, Prasidh Krishna took 2 on his return, and Rashid Khan finished things off.

A night to forget for Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is their lowest-ever IPL total. They've been absolutely dismantled by a superb GT bowling unit. Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head and Ishan Kishan all departed in the powerplay, and SRH failed to recover from that.

Rashid Khan gets Praful Hinge out, Jos Buttler completes the stumping. SRH are 86 all out. Gujarat Titans wouldn't have been totally happy with a total of 168, but they've clinched an emphatic 82-run win. One of the best bowling performances of the season!

Kagiso Rabada's delivery takes an inside edge off Salil Arora's bat, the ball rolls towards the stumps and hits it, but the bails don't fall off! Huge, huge stroke of luck for the Sunrisers. Arora then gets a boundary on the next ball, as a thick outside edge flies away for 4 through third-man.

Rabada's spell ends: 3/28 in 4 overs.

But the 6 is the best shot of the game! It's a superb yorker by Malinga, but Sundar gets his bat down and flicks it away for 6 over deep square-leg. WOW!

Great shot by Washington Sundar! Hint of width offered by Hinge and he slams it square for 4. However, the big shots aren't coming easily. A tidy over by Hinge overall.

Short from Malinga and hammered through mid-wicket for 4 by Sai Sudharsan. He crosses 500 runs for the third IPL season in a row. The left-hander has grown into one of the most consistent batters in the league in recent years. Orange Cap winner last year, and he leads the race again this year.

Washington Sundar slams Pat Cummins for a boundary over cover. He picked his gap well and got the reward. Cummins' spell comes to an end. A good day in the office for the SRH captain, he ends with figures of 1/20 in 4 overs.

Boundary! 50 for Sai Sudharsan! He gets to the milestone with a sweep shot for 4 against Shivang. A steady knock from the left-hander, who had to hold his end after the loss of early wickets.

What a shot! Sai Sudharsan with another maximum, this one's an even better hit than the last. He slams it from the off-stump and deposits it for 6 back over the bowler's head. Up to 48 he goes.

Boundary for Sai Sudharsan! Firm hit over point as Eshan Malinga enters the attack. That shot takes Gujarat Titans past the 50-run mark. Sudharsan has started off slow, but he'll look to stick around after the loss of Gill and Buttler early.

Maximum from Nishant Sindhu! This is an excellent start by the uncapped left-hander. Reddy comes in to bowl his third over, but Sindhu slams him over deep mid-wicket for 6.

Next ball, Sindhu tries an upper-cut but Praful Hinge saves a maximum at deep third-man. He nearly took the catch, but lost balance. Sindhu then slams 4 again!

Great start for Nishant Sindhu! He slams a boundary on his first ball, and then comes down the track and hammers it through extra cover for 4 more on the last ball of the powerplay. Those shots slightly improve GT's score, but still it's GT worst powerplay score of IPL 2026.

GONE! Praful Hinge has another! Jos Buttler goes for a ramp but misses, and it's caught behind by keeper Ishan Kishan. Strong appeal but the umpire said not out. SRH take the DRS review, and guess what, UltraEdge shows Buttler edged it.

Boundary off Jos Buttler's blade as Reddy bowls his second over, but otherwise it's a really tidy over from the all-rounder. Only 5 runs off it, with 3 dots in a row to end. Sai Sudharsan trying a cover drive and then even a ramp, but they didn't come off.

Another top over from Pat Cummins. Jos Buttler swings and misses multiple times. Just 4 runs off the fourth over. This is the ideal start for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Praful Hinge starts off by conceding just 2 runs in his first over, and taking the wicket of opposition skipper Shubman Gill. Top stuff from the young pacer. GT under pressure in the powerplay.

GONE! Shubman Gill is back in the dugout! Praful Hinge bowls the third over and dismisses Gill with his second ball. Gill nudges it towards mid-on, but straight to the fielder! He is gone for 5 off 7.

Shubman Gill put down! Nitish Reddy bowls the second over, and he creates a chance as Gill hits it straight back at him. However, the ball came really fast and Reddy failed to hold on to it with one hand. Next ball, Gill slams a firm square cut for 4!

Sai Sudharsan also hits a lovely cover drive for 4.

Excellent start by Pat Cummins. Just 5 runs off the first over. The SRH captain keeps his length really tight and into the stumps, and doesn't allow Gill or Sudharsan to free their arms.

Gujarat Titans have been without star pacer Prasidh Krishna in their last few games. He was supposed to make a comeback in the previous game, but GT went for a last-minute change with their 'Impact Player', bringing on spinner R Sai Kishore.

It'll be intriguing to see whether the Rs 9.5 crore star makes his long-awaited return today.

Gujarat Titans' middle-order came good in their previous match against Rajasthan Royals, with Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia playing quick knocks. GT will need them to step up on a more consistent basis, in case their reliable Top 3 has an off-day.

At least 5 players set to play today are in the race for the Orange Cap (most runs) in IPL 2026. SRH's Heinrich Klaasen leads the way with 494 runs, but teammates Abhishek Sharma (475) and Ishan Kishan (409), and GT openers Shubman Gill (462) and Sai Sudharsan (440) are not too far behind.

Today's contest could be decided by the battle between Sunrisers Hyderabad's power-packed batting unit and Gujarat Titans' excellent bowling unit. Those areas are the strong points for their respective sides, and could decide who wins today.

Gujarat Titans will wear a special lavender jersey in today's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, as they express solidary to those fighting against cancer. The beautiful lavender jersey has now become a seasonal tradition for GT, and this will be the fourth year in a row that they'll wear the special jersey.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's dashing opener Abhishek Sharma is just 34 runs away from completing 2,000 runs as an opener in the IPL. Abhishek has been arguably the most influential person in SRH's trailblazing brand of attacking cricket.

Much like GT, Sunrisers Hyderabad appear to be peaking at the right time, with 4 wins in their last 5 games. Their incredible batting unit has been the reason for their success. They are on the same points as GT, and would take the No. 1 spot with a win today.
