IPL 2025 Auction is set to be a mega one with high profile India stars like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Arshdeep Singh set to go under the hammer. The 10 franchises will collectively have around Rs 641.5 crore to spend for maximum 204 slots that are available. Out of those 204 slots, 70 are earmarked for overseas players. As of now, 46 players have been retained by the 10 franchises with cumulative expenditure of Rs 558.5 crore.

SunRisers Hyderabad have retained wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen for a record sum of Rs 23 crore, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru have paid a whopping Rs 21 crore for their former captain and star batter Virat Kohli. Wicketkeeper-batters, who could also captain a side, are expected to be in high demand during the bidding war and thus all eyes will be on the likes of Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, who have been released by their franchises Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, respectively.

Kolkata Knight Riders have also released their captain Shreyas Iyer and he too will be a hot commodity during the IPL 2025 Auction. Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have released star wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who is also expected to bag a hefty sum at the bidding war.
