IPL 2019: CSK Beat RCB By 7 Wickets In Season Opener
Chennai Super Kings opened their title defence with a convincing 7-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening match played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. MS Dhoni won the toss and put Virat Kohli's side to bat. CSK's spinning trio of Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir and Ravindra Jadeja scalped eight wickets among themselves as RCB were bundled out for a paltry 70. Parthiv Patel was the only RCB batsman to touch two-digit mark.

CSK spinners struck at regular intervals to put RCB on the back foot from the very beginning.

IPL's leading run-getter Suresh Raina became the first batsman in the history of the tournament to score 5,000 runs.
CSK chased the target of 71 runs in 17.4 overs to open their title defence with a win.
