According to a FC Goa source, Ranti was contacted by North East United FC and Chennaiyin FC, but both the deals could not materialise and FC Goa wasted no time to grab him.
Goa is no new place for Ranti, who had spent eight successive seasons with Dempo from 2004 before parting ways to look out for greener pastures.
Ranti will reach Goa on Saturday and may play the second friendly match against Indian U-19.
