Kings XI beat Mumbai Indians by 18 runs to pick up their first points in this IPL. Kings XI reduced Mumbai to 46 for five. The Punjab pacers run riot at the top and tore apart the Mumbai top-order before Harbhajan Singh played a blazing 24-ball 64 to rekindle Mumbai hopes. Debutant Suchith hels fort at the other end with an unbeaten 34.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians elected to field after winning the toss but a hurricane start from Virender Sehwag (36) and Murali Vijay (35) saw the men from Punjab get off to a flier. Harbhajan Singh came on and dislodged his old India team-mate Sehwag and was aptly helped by the debutant Suchith. The spinners dominated the middle-overs but George Bailey, the Kings XI captain, slammed an unbeaten 32-ball 61to lift the Punjab franchise above 170.

Both teams are studded with superstars. If Punjab have the likes of Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, Virender Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Mitchell Johnson. Mumbai boasts of players like Rohit Sharma. Kieron Pollard, Corey Anderson and Lasith Malinga.
Although Mumbai has had problems with their batting, their skipper Rohit Sharma is in superb form and struck an unbeaten 98 against KKR in the campaign opener. Punjab too, need their stars like Sehwag and Maxwell to stand up against Mumbai.
Both teams are eager for a win. At Wankhede, who will draw first blood?
