"I don't think the team has looked at me more proudly after the toss. We got tough conditions in the first two games, glad to give bowlers a break on a tough outfield. The surface was good, we picked wickets in bunches. We know with teams that go hard, it can be chasing 400 or playing one too many shots and getting out," said KL Rahul, India captain for the series.

"Prasidh picked 2-3 wickets was crucial, then Kuldeep. That's how you contain teams in ODIs. Quinton de Kock batted really well, he made 120 out of 180 odd. Was much tougher for newer batters, so his was a key wicket. Most pleasing thing has been how we've been able to handle pressure. In all games, South Africa batters have put us under pressure. One result didn't go our way, we're not thinking too much about it. Plans, processes have been consistent. Doing the same thing worked out today," he added.

"You have many phases where you feel doubt. You feel nervous, especially in batting where one mistake can cost you. It's a whole journey, getting better, becoming a better person. I can realise the negative thinking patterns, knowing and working on that helps the temperament. I'm glad to still be contribute to the team. When I play freely, I know I can hit sixes. Just wanted to push my boundaries and go well," said Kohli.

"The first innings was the best this series. I hadn't played since Australia, just the energy on the day helps take risks. That opened me up in a way I've not felt in a while. Grateful for how the games have gone. Must-win brings the best out of us. I want to make a play. Happy Rohit and I can help the team even now," he added.

Virat Kohli bags his 12th Player of the Series award in ODI cricket. He scored 302 runs at an astonishing average of 151, with a highest score of 135.

"Just playing the way I have. This series has been the most satisfying for me. Feel really free in my mind, whole game is coming together nicely. I've tried to maintain my own standards and make an impact. I can bat long and according to the situation," said Kohli.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been named the Player of the Match. He scored 116 not out off 121 balls with the help of 12 fours and 2 sixes.

While receiving the award, he said, "I really enjoyed, grateful and blessed. Rohit and I have chatted a lot on how we play and what tempo to go with. I've been unable to convert starts. I was only thinking of how to balance the innings. Sometimes I need to be more attacking and sometimes get singles and consolidate. I have to control my thoughts, where and what shots I can play. I need to go after bowlers, knowing when I need to do that helps. Once Virat paaji came in, he played a lot of shots. He helped me set targets as well."

The game was almost done and dusted for South Africa when the Indian opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal stitched together a solid 155-run stand. Rohit fell for 75, and then came Virat Kohli, who simply toyed with the Proteas bowlers. The ODI great remained unbeaten on 65. On the other hand, Jaiswal also got the monkey off his back with his first-ever ODI century. Dew helped India's cause, just as it did for South Africa in the first two matches when they batted second.

Two powerful shots from Virat Kohli on the off-side, and that takes India over the line! The hosts win the game by 9 wickets in Visakhapatnam and clinch the series 2-1 against South Africa. India chase down the 271-run target in just 39.5 overs.

What a comeback from Prasidh Krishna. The pacer was tonked for three sixes in his opening two overs, and such was his struggle that KL Rahul even handed the ball to Tilak Varma. But Prasidh bounced back tremendously in his second spell, triggering the South African collapse by himself.

Matthew Breetzke and Aiden Markram were sent back in the same over. And then Prasidh avenged Quinton de Kock by taking his wicket too. A wicket at the death, and figures of 4/66.

Gautam Gambhir and KL Rahul took a bold call by persisting with him for the third ODI, and he's paid them back in flying colours.

First wicket for Prasidh Krishna! After going expensive in his first three overs, the right-arm pacer has finally struck. It was a short-of-length delivery aimed at the stumps, and Matthew Breetzke attempted to play it with a cross bat. The South African missed completely, and the ball struck him plumb in front. The umpire raised his finger, and although Breetzke reviewed the decision, he ended up losing one for his team.

Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana will likely take the new ball for India. The two young pacers have shone so far in this series, and will be hoping to deliver some quick wickets, without the pressure of having to defend a total.

Despite conceding 85 runs in just 8.2 overs in the previous ODI, and receiving a lot of criticism, Prasidh Krishna has been backed by Gambhir and Rahul for the third ODI as well. A huge show of trust in the pacer, who will be hoping to repay it with some wickets today.

The role of Washington Sundar has been questioned by fans and experts, with the all-rounder failing to make much of a mark batting at No. 5 and also barely getting any overs with the ball. Tilak Varma's introduction certainly adds more steel to India's batting, but leaves India with an option less.
