Gurgaon: Jugraj Singh will be wearing the blue shirt of the Indian hockey team for the first time in over two and a half years. It's a sight not too many people would have hoped to see again especially after the 22-year-old suffered a potentially career ending accident in September 2003. But his will and determination, the efforts of countless medical teams and an overwhelming desire to don the India colours once again were too strong to give up. Coach upbeat Jugraj's return comes at a time of another round of musical chairs in Indian hockey. Just 24 hours earlier captain of the gold winning side of the 1980 Olympics V Baskaran, took over as the 14th Coach of the National team in the last 10 years. And while it will take Baskaran some time to get used to his new wards, he is happy to have Jugraj back in the side, giving him the extra option as far as drag flick specialists are concerned.
