An all round display by the Indian men's team helped maintain their supremacy against Oman on the third day of the Hero Hockey World League Round 2, Delhi 2013 played on Wednesday at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.
India defeated Oman 9-1 by scoring at regular intervals in the first and second half of the game. Raghunath converted an early penalty corner into the first goal for Team India in the 3rd minute of the game. Rupinder Pal Singh scored in the 14th and 38th min through penalty corners, Nithin Thimmaiah (16th min & 60th min), Dharamvir Singh (20th min), Raghunath (40th min penalty corner), Mandeep Singh (42nd min), Gurjinder Singh (65th min).
Oman scored just one goal by converting a penalty corner through Mohamed Hubais AL Shar in the 35th min of the match.
Skipper Sardar Singh was adjudged Player of the Match.
