New Delhi:
Indian hockey suffered yet another defeat as minnows France handed the hosts a 1-3 drubbing in the first match of the two-test series at the Shivaji Stadium today.
The slipshod show by the home side saw an irate crowd changing allegiance as they cheered the visitors and jeered the hosts.
Later, they raised slogan against Indian Hockey Federation officials.
The lone goal scorer for India was Sandeep Singh. The French side, which is here in India on a learning tour, eventually taught the hosts a thing or two about taking a lead and defending it till the final whistle.
The two will play the last test on December 28.
