Bihar, Mumbai register big wins in Senior Women Hockey Championship

In a pool B encounter, Mumbai Hockey Association Limited (MHA Ltd) routed Bengal 13-0.

Bihar's Aprajita Kumari struck five goals to guide her side to an emphatic 9-0 win over Jammu & Kashmir in a pool D league match of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship.

Besides Aprajita Kumari (13, 19, 43, 51, 65 min), Antu Kumari (56, 59 min), Poonam Giri (10 min) and Manji Pandey (68) scored for Bihar, at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in Lucknow.

In a pool B encounter, Mumbai Hockey Association Limited (MHA Ltd) routed Bengal 13-0.

Scorers for MHA Ltd were Jahanara Bano (12, 23, 26, 36, 47 min), Sarita Hanuman (14, 32, 41, 43 min), Tanaz Mohammed (15, 62 min), Pratibha Sawant (8 min) and Krishna Patel (27 min).

Also, Sport Authority of India (SAI) beat Hockey Bhopal 4-2 in a pool F match.

Ranjita Sanasam (15 min), Anima Soreng (33 min), Sushma Tiru (43 min), Kulwinder Kaur (53 min) were the goal scorers for SAI while Hockey Bhopal scored through Chanda Gupta (2 min), Deepika Sharma (14 min).
