Olympic Champions Australia have defeated Holland 3-1 to win the 2005 edition of the Champions Trophy, for the first time since 1999.
This is Australia's fourth victory in international hockey's most prestigious tournaments outside the Olympics, tying them with Germany for the most wins in the tournament.
The Australians took the lead in the 21st minute through Matthew Wells, before Liam De Young increased the margin in the 36th minute.
A heavy downpour forced a 20-minute interruption, before Jamie Dwyer sealed Holland's fate with a superb third goal in the 62nd minute.
Dwyer was adjudged the Man of the Match, while Bevan George was declared the Man of the Tournament.
