World number two Vijay Singh clinched his third PGA Tour title of the year in a three-way playoff for the Wachovia Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Fijian Singh got up and down to save par from a greenside bunker at the fourth extra hole and edge out American Jim Furyk, whose victory hopes faded when he found water after pulling his tee shot left.
Spaniard Sergio Garcia, who had started the day six strokes clear of the field, was eliminated at the first extra hole when he could manage only a bogey at the par-four 18th.
