Harmeet Kahlon took a vital step towards earning a full card on next year's European PGA Tour with a terrific four-under 67, which brought him to a total of eight-under 278 and make the cut after four rounds in the European Tour Qualifying School Finals in Spain.
The 31-year-old Chandigarh golfer, who had rounds of 68, 69 and 74 on the first three days, brought home his best round so far and that ensured he was in the hunt for one of the 35 cards up for grabs in the qualifying School, according to information received.
A total of 77 players made the cut applied at six-under 280 after four rounds. They will now play two more rounds and the top 35 and ties get a full card on the European Tour next season and the remaining will get a card for the European Challenge Tour, something which Kahlon is now sure of playing next year.
The European PGA Tour is the second biggest in the world after the US PGA Tour and only two Indians, Jeev Milkha Singh and Arjun Atwal, have earned the European PGA cards in the past. (PTI)
