New Delhi: India's gold medallist in golf returned home to a low key welcome on Monday night. Though India came fourth in the team event, Shiv Kapur won India a gold medal in the individual event after a gap of 20 years. "What it took to win was basically being patient. In bad weather you have got to be patient, that's the most important thing. And I did and I honestly exceeded my expectations. I thought even par would be a pretty good score but I ended up better than that so that," Kapur remarked. Kapur now wants to create sporting history by becoming the first Indian to take on Tiger Woods on the United States PGA Tour. He said that he would attempt to qualify for the cash-rich PGA Tour when he completes his studies in 2003.
