Valderrama:
Alastair Forsyth fired a four-under-par 67 on Saturday to open a three-stroke lead over Ian Poulter and Sergio Garcia in the third round of the Volvo Masters at Valderrama in Spain.
Play was completed in fading light after an 86-minute afternoon delay caused by a passing thunderstorm.
At start of the third day at the Volvo Masters, Sergio Garcia looked pretty well in control of the tournament - this his second to nine, leading to a birdie - 34 out, one-under par.
Alistair Forsyth got his first birdie of the day at seven - an unlikely one too.
The Scot then holed one at 13 just before a suspension of play for thunder and lightning - that put him eight-under.
Then came the suspension of an hour and twenty minutes.
After the restart, Sergio Garcia promptly dropped a shot on 13 but at 15 came a birdie.
Then a birdie at 16 for Ian Poulter who was putting in a determined bid.
But Alistair Forsyth had a birdie of his own at 16.
And again at the notorious 17th for a best-of-the-day round of 67 and a three-shot lead to take into the final round. (AP)
