Two-time Russian champions Rubin Kazan have signed defender Ivan Marcano from Spanish top flight club Villarreal, local media reported on Friday.
Reports said Rubin paid six million euros for the 24-year-old Spaniard, who, while on loan with Olympiakos last season, played 36 matches and scored five goals to help the Greek side seal a league and Cup double.
Marcano is set to join Rubin on June 8 in Austria, where the club will set up their training camp to prepare for the Russian Premier League's new season.
