Real Madrid defender Marcelo fined for driving offence

Real Madrid defender Marcelo has been fined 6,000 euros ($7,820, £5,179) for driving after his licence had been revoked.
The Brazilian had been stopped by the police for committing a driving violation on February 18 when it was discovered that he had already lost all the points on his licence for previous offences, making it invalid.
A judge in Madrid sentenced the 24-year-old to pay a fine of 25 euros per day for the next eight months.
