Two second-half goals from Luis Figo made sure Real Madrid qualified for the UEFA Champions League's last 16 knockout round.

Two second-half goals from Luis Figo made sure Real Madrid put a recent bad streak behind them and qualified for the UEFA Champions League's last 16 knockout round. The game was played in an empty stadium to prevent Roma fans disturbing the game. It ended the same way as the first match - 3-0 with Ronaldo also scoring. Steve Gerrard's stunning late strike also propelled Liverpool to the last 16. They pipped Olympiakos 3-1 on head to head their record. Bayer Leverkusen advanced with three second half goals to dump out Dynamo Kyiv 3-0.
