Madrid:

Park Chu-Young made history on Saturday when he became the first South Korean player to score in La Liga, helping Celta Vigo to a 2-1 win over Getafe.

Park, who is on a one-year loan from Arsenal, came off the bench to volley home in the 68th-minute winner as his side moved up to ninth place in the table.

Augusto Fernandez hit Celta's opener after 57 minutes with Abdelaziz Barrada equalising two minutes later.

Celta coach Paco Herrera said Park's appearance off the bench was a valuable contribution.

"But all the players had a great game," he added.
