Ivan Sproule scored in his first start and Northern Ireland beat Estonia 1-0 in a friendly on Wednesday. The Hibs striker shot past goalkeeper Mart Poom in the second minute for the first international friendly win for Northern Ireland at Windsor Park since 1998. Estonia, which at No. 77 is 25 places above Northern Ireland in the FIFA rankings, saw several chances saved by Northern Ireland goalkeeper Maik Taylor. The win saw Northern Ireland complete the double over Estonia. In 2004, it won in coach Lawrie Sanchez's first game in charge of the team. (AP)
