Bringing an end to the drama over their resignation, Mohun Bagan top brass, including president Swapan Sadhan Bose, today returned to the fold after repeated requests from the executive committee.
"As I've said earlier, their respective resignations were not as per the regulation and we requested them to reconsider the move," senior vice-president Subrata Mukherjee said after an emergent working committee meeting.
"It's time to stay together and take the club forward," said Mukherjee, who is also the West Bengal Panchayat Minister.
Mohun Bagan, who recently crashed out of the ongoing Federation Cup football tournament in Goa and are yet to win a silverware in five seasons, also formed a three-member core committee consisting of Mukherjee, Arup Biswas and Rathin Chakraborty to take stock of their poor performance.
Moments after Mohun Bagan were routed 4-1 by Salgaocar in Goa on Sunday, the three top officials stepped down citing the team's string of poor show.
