Klopp's former club, Borussia Dortmund, were paired with FC Porto.
Also, Manchester United's next match in Europe will be when they travel to Danish club Midtjylland, while two-time defending champions Sevilla host Molde.
Fiorentina will take on English club Tottenham Hotspur, Shakhtar Donetsk face FC Schalke, Villarreal travel to Napoli while Fenerbahce take on Lokomotiv Moscow.
