Seoul:

Japan stunned South Korea with an injury time goal to win the clash of the Asian football giants 1-0 today. Japan's second-half substitute Yuichiro Nagai scored the winner after 92 minutes of goal-less deadlock, handing their Brazilian coach Zico his first victory since taking over from Frenchman Philippe Troussier following last summer's World Cup.The match could have gone either way and the late goal was a hammer blow for South Korea and a bitter disappointment for their new Portuguese coach Humberto Coelho and their legions of fans. Coelho, in his second game in charge of the World Cup semi-finalists, is still searching for his first win with South Korea after their 0-0 draw with Colombia 10 days ago.He was deprived of his European-based stars for the friendly, but so was Zico's Japan, and both sides clearly suffered from the absences.Even so, it looked like the South Koreans were easing into the driving seat in the first half, dominating possession and creating most of the scoring chances.World Cup star Lee Chun-Soo probably had the best of the early opportunities when he flicked the ball cleverly over the defense then turned and rammed a shot against the post in the 23rd minute.
