Sometimes a moment of absolute magic on a football field can take your breath away. Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic's fourth goal against England in a friendly fits that description perfectly.
And while the praise is flowing in for the Swedish striker, his goal will not be considered for FIFA's best goal award for 2012.
However, Ibra is not bogged down by the decision and said, "I am as good as Lionel Messi and now my English critics can shut up."
According to England captain Steven Gerrad, who was present at the match, it was the best goal he has ever seen live.
Sweden coach Erik Hamren meanwhile has said: "Sometimes when Ibra's doing these things in training or in matches, you don't think it's possible. You think you're watching a video game."
And to think that this was really the icing on the cake since Ibrahimovic had scored three more goals before this to silence his critics in England who have earlier criticised him for his performances against English clubs in the Champions League.
Unfortunately FIFA has said that this unbelievable 30 yard overhead kick cannot be added as a late entry for the award of best goal of 2012 since voting had already begun for the award before this match.
But there is a chance that it can be considered for the 2013 award. And if that happens it will probably take a super human effort to beat this one.
