North East's only club in the I-League, Shillong Lajong FC will look to continue their unbeaten run at home when they host Chirag United at the Nehru Stadium on Thursday.
Staging a comeback after being humiliated 0-6 by Churchill Brothers and 0-5 by Dempo, Lajong vowed to keep their home fans happy by not losing a game.
Though the Shillong-based side managed to keep the 10th place 13 points from 11 matches, what Pradyum Reddy's boys are desperately looking for is a win, to put them back on track.
With the team's top scorers Malima (3) in the attack along with Christopher in the pack, Lajong still look strong even without Tuboi and Giblee.
However, the Shillong side will be banking on their 'home' advantage.
Lajong held Mohan Bagan goal-less in Imphal and followed that with a draw against Prayag United.
They also held Air India and HAL in Imphal and Pune FC in Pune.
The two teams are separated by five points.
"We have watched their game. They are good no doubt and experienced too, but our players are capable enough to give them a run for their money and can deliver what is expected from them," Reddy said.
