"All comes down to today, and either, we heal as a team, or we're gonna crumble. Inch by inch, play by play. Until we're finished" - The Miami Sharks played their hearts out after Tony D'Amato came up with the perfect speech in the film 'Any Given Sunday'. (Argentina, Chile Poised For Copa America Classic)
Now, it's time for Argentina to get inspired by the same man, who played the character of D'Amato - the legendary Al Pacino. The Hollywood superstar has revealed that he is a massive Albiceleste fan and has been following the Copa America along with his long-time Argentine girlfriend, Lucila Sola. Not only has he been following Lionel Messi & Co., the Scarface star has recorded a special message for the blue and whites. (Copa America Final 'Not War')
"I love the way they play," Pacino says in the message, "I have just seen you play again, yet again and I love the way you play. I get excited along with my wonderful girlfriend Lucila. I am very excited to even be talking with you, it's thrilling for me to talk to you and to let you know how wonderful and great you are as players." (Chile Seek 'Perfect' Defence)
The message posted in the Copa America website further said, "I get really happy when I see you play; it's always a pleasure for me. I don't know you as people so I don't want to say how great you are as people, but as players, I love you." (Chile Look Up To Gary 'Pitbull' Medel)
Argentina have been without a major trophy for 22 years. Even with the likes of Messi, Sergio Aguero and Angel Di Maria in the ranks, Argentina have failed to win any big competition despite reaching the finals.
Now, they face Chile in the final of the Copa America and have the chance to equal Uruguay with 14 Copa titles.
In 'Any Given Sunday', Jamie Foxx and the other Miami Sharks got inspired by the D'Amato speech and went on to beat the Dallas Knights.
Can Lionel Messi & Co. do the same against a red-hot in-form Chile?
With the Godfather on your side, impossible is nothing!
