Germany's national goalkeeper Robert Enke has died after being hit by a train in an apparent suicide. The 32 year old was fatally injured at a level crossing northwest of Hannover. Enke played 8 times for Germany, he was in fact in pole position for the number one jersey at next year's World Cup in South Africa. His daughter Lara died in 2006 of a rare heart condition when she was just 2. He leaves behind a wife and an 8 month-old daughter which the couple had adopted in May.
