Fabio Cannavaro to Coach Saudi Arabian Champions Al Nassr
Fabio Cannavaro, who was part of Italy's World Cup winning squad in 2006, will now coach Saudi Arabian champions Al Nassr.

Italian World Cup-winning player Fabio Cannavaro will be in charge of Saudi Arabian champions Al Nassr. Cannavaro, who is currently the coach of Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, will arrive in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. (Fabio Cannavaro Says Italy Need Foreign Backers)
Cannavaro signed a contract that runs until the end of the season as the 42-year-old replaces Jorge da Silva, who was sacked on Friday following a 0-1 home defeat to Al Shabab. (Fabio Cannavaro Probed Over Tax Fraud)
He stepped down as coach of Chinese Super League champions Evergrande in June after just seven months succeeding his mentor and 2006 World Cup winning coach Marcello Lippi.
As a player, Cannavaro won the Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year awards after captaining Italy to the 2006 World Cup.
