Donovan was selected for the fourth straight time and fifth overall after scoring a team-high 12 goals for the Galaxy. Gonzalez made the list for the second consecutive year.

Midfielders Brek Shea of Dallas and Brad Davis of Houston were first-time picks.

Seattle's Kasey Keller, in his final season before retirement, was the top goalkeeper. Others picked were Real Salt Lake defender Jamison Olave, D.C. United midfielder Dwayne De Rosario and San Jose forward Chris Wondolowski.
