Critics can shut up now, says Real's Di Maria

The winger is pleased with his performance and thinks it is time those who have been saying and writing against him, stop it.

Madrid:

Argentina winger Angel Di Maria scored twice in Real Madrid's 5-0 mauling of Valencia on Sunday and then told his growing army of critics to keep a lid on their complaints.

"I played a very good match that will force some people to shut their mouths," the 24-year-old told Canal+ Spain.

But Di Maria insisted he wasn't including coach Jose Mourinho on his list of detractors despite being singled out by the Portuguese for a below-par performance in last week's 0-0 draw at Oasuna.

"He says what he has to say and everyone knows how to take it. I know who I want to keep quiet," he said.
