When Cristiano Ronaldo put a menacing picture of him taking on Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star Conor McGregor, many of the football star's fans were foxed. Well, the Real Madrid star is not changing his profession, at least not yet.
Ronaldo, who is on a holiday in America after leading Portugal to Euro 2016 triumph, took some time out to meet Irishman McGregor at his Las Vegas training camp. UFC is an American fighting promotion company. It promotes mixed martial arts and organises events across the world.
Ronaldo posted a picture on his Instagram account with the pair facing each other in the Octagon with the caption "Great to see you bro!".
The Irishman, who was removed from UFC 200 after failing to fulfil media requirements in the lead up to the event, is preparing for his much-awaited return to the UFC.
McGregor also posted a picture of the two men at the top of their respective fields on Instagram, dubbing the Real Madrid man "an animal".
McGregor is training for his rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 202 next month, following his defeat at UFC 196.
