Celta Vigo beat Mallorca 2-0
Celta Vigo regained top spot in Spain's Primera Liga with a 2-0 triumph over Mallorca on Sunday.

Celta Vigo regained top spot in Spain's Primera Liga with a 2-0 triumph over Mallorca on Sunday. Brazilian midfielder Edu put the home side on their way in the 41st minute, before his compatriot Catanha sealed the win with the second five minutes from time.
The opening period of play was pretty indifferent. However, just before the break Celta burst into life with a real scramble ensuing when Alexander Mostovoi's shot was palmed away by Leo Franco in the Mallorca goal.
Jesuli came charging in to slide home the rebound, but was denied by a brilliant last ditch tackle from Xavier Olaizola.
Moments later the home side took the lead when Brazilian mid fielder Edu rose at the far post to head home Mostovoi's in swinging cross, giving Celta a 1-0 lead.
Mallorca missed the chance to equalize when right at the start of the second half Leonardo Biagini, was unable to divert this header into the goal.
In the 85th minute, Catanha pounced on a Mostovoi rebound and slot the ball home from inside the six-yard box.
With this win, Celta now proudly sit at the summit of the Primera Liga once again, taking 10 points and remaining unbeaten in their opening four games.
