London:
Queens Park Rangers say Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar will be out injured for six to eight weeks.
Cesar underwent surgery after breaking a finger on his left hand in training on Tuesday.
Cesar had been expected to leave QPR after the London club was relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season. But no move materialized and he is yet to feature in the second tier this season, in a potential setback to his hopes of remaining in the starting lineup for Brazil at the World Cup on home soil next year.
Brazil plays friendlies against South Korea and Zambia next month.
