Moscow:

CSKA Moscow's Russian international defender Vasily Berezutsky is doubtful for Euro 2012 after being sidelined until the end of the season with a recurring hip injury, his club confirmed on Monday.

"Vasily Berezutsky will not play for CSKA in the remaining matches this season," CSKA general manager Roman Babayev told the press.

The 29-year-old had just made his comeback from the same hip injury in Saturday's Moscow derby clash with Spartak, but was substituted after suffering a relapse.

"Medical tests confirmed our worst fears," Babayev added. "Vasily has injured his hip again and will have to miss at least three weeks."

Berezutsky's injury means he is uncertain to be fit for national coach Dick Advocaat's squad for the European championships from June 8 to July 1.

The injury list already includes defenders Sergei Ignashevich and Sergei Parshihvlyuk and midfielder Alan Dzagoev.
