Bastian Schweinsteiger out of Germany's friendly in France

Germany coach Joachim Loew did not call up a replacement for the game in Paris.

Berlin:

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has pulled out of Germany's friendly with France on Wednesday.

The German football federation says the 28-year-old Schweinsteiger injured his ankle in Bayern's 3-0 win at Mainz in the Bundesliga on Saturday. It did not say which ankle the player injured.

Bayern says Schweinsteiger needs a three-day break.
