Barcelona held to 1-1 draw by Valencia

Spanish champions Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Valencia in La Liga on Sunday.

Spanish champions Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Valencia at the Nou Camp in La Liga on Sunday. The result has left both sides unbeaten but shorn of their 100 per cent starts to the new season. David Villa put Valencia ahead after 16 minutes and could easily have had a couple more in a dominant first half display, but Barcelona came back in the second half, equalized. In the 49th minute, substitute Andres Iniesta scored for Barcelona and they unfortunate not to have won the game themselves by the end. The 1-1 draw gives both sides 10 points from 4 games, level with Real Madrid at the top of the table, although Barcelona have the better goal difference.(With AP inputs)
