Barcelona moved two points clear at the top of Spain's Primera Liga courtesy of Sunday's 1-0 win over Numancia. Numancia enjoyed the best chance of a lacklustre opening period. Goalless at the interval, matters had to improve for 'Barca' after the break. If anything, they deteriorated before they improved. With just over 20 minutes to go, the near-80,000 crowd in the Nou Camp were finally rewarded for their patience when Henrik Larsson headed Barca in front. That goal brought Frank Rijkaard's men to life. Several times they went close to extending their lead. It finished though, 1-nil in Barcelona's favour. With Valencia held 1-1 at Betis on Saturday, this result allowed Barca to go two points clear. (AP)
