Atletico Paranaense came back from a goal down at half-time to beat Sao Caetano 5-2 in the Campeonato Brasileiro on Sunday.

Atletico Paranaense came back from a goal down at half-time to beat Sao Caetano 5-2 in the Campeonato Brasileiro on Sunday. The result means Atletico remain top of the standings with 85 points and look set to win their second championship title. Although leading the way on 82 points, Atletico knew their opponents would be no walkover as they lay just five points behind in fourth. Settling downIt took both sides a while to settle down but the game came to life after 20 minutes when Fabricio Carvalho wasted the chance to open the scoring for the visitors. Then less than a minute later, Washington was wide of the mark for the home side. In the 28th minute, Sae Caetano's Carvalho was denied by goalkeeper Diego. The visitors finally took the lead just minutes before the break as Marcinho finished in style and then Sao Caetano almost doubled their lead in first-half injury-time. Crucial equaliserCarvalho denied once again and Atletico were lucky to trail by just a single goal going in to the break. At the start of the second half, the home side continued to struggle. But they finally scored the crucial equaliser in the 63rd minute. Two minutes later they doubled their lead as Jadson forced the ball home, to the delight of the home fans. The home side were now full of confidence and made it 3-1 after 78 minutes - Jadson with his second goal of the match. Atletico seemed to be heading for their second championship title but then, two minutes later, they let the visitors back in and allowed Carvalho to score to reduce the deficit to 3-2. In the 89th minute, Atletico sealed victory with a penalty from Washington after he was brought down in the area. Then in injury-time, Denis Marques made it five-two to the home side with a fierce drive. (AP)
