Asian Cup: Iran Want Life Ban for Australian Referee
A top Iranian official said the team would lodge a formal complaint against Australian referee Ben Williams following the dismissal of their protest that Iraq had fielded an ineligible player during their quarterfinal clash.

Sydney:
A top Iranian official on Sunday called for a life ban for Australian referee Ben Williams after a bungling display in their 6-7 Asian Cup quarter-final loss to Iraq.
Delegation chief Houshang Moghaddas said Iran would lodge a formal complaint against Williams following the dismissal of their protest that Iraq had fielded an ineligible player.
"This referee must be suspended for life."
