Munich:
Milan reached the semifinals of the Champions League on Wednesday behind goals from Clarence Seedorf and Filippo Inzaghi in a 2-0 win over Bayern that gave the six-time champions a 4-2 aggregate win.
Inzaghi came to Munich known as the "Terror of Bavaria" and he lived up to his reputation, scoring his sixth goal against Bayern in the Champions League.
Bayern has beaten Milan only once in 10 games and has never eliminated the Italian club.
Seedorf scored in the 27th minute, then set up Inzaghi's goal in the 31st to give Milan a 4-2 aggregate win.
"The day couldn't have gone better," Seedorf said. "We played very well defensively and we were always a threat. ... We allowed a couple of early chances but then we scored and we closed our ranks."
Milan will play Manchester United in the semifinals. United manager Alex Ferguson watched the match from the stands, one day after his team crushed AS Roma 7-1 to go through 8-3 on aggregate.
Lukas Podolski wasted an early chance for Bayern, but Milan soon took control of the game.
Seedorf took a pass from Kaka, shook off Lucio and drilled a low, right-foot shot from the edge of the area through the legs of Daniel van Buyten into Oliver Kahn's far corner to give Milan the lead.
Bayern appeared stunned and four minutes later Seedorf produced a decisive move, flicking the ball with his backheel to Inzaghi, who beat the offside trap, broke through unchallenged and sent the ball over Kahn to double the lead.
"We saw tonight how strong Milan is," Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer said. "They were the better team over the two games and they deserved to advance.
"We tried hard to turn the game in the second half but couldn't do it," he said.
Bayern would have advanced with either a 0-0 or a 1-1 draw, but AC Milan outplayed the four-time champions.
"We got a 2-2 draw in Milan and we had great hope that we would advance. But we always knew that Milan can win away from home," Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said.
"We were unlucky not to score first. It may have been different then. They got a lot of confidence from those two goals and they have great players. We tried everything and we went out fighting, but Milan was clearly the better team," Hitzfeld said.
Goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, who was suspended for the first leg last week in Milan, said he had been right not to celebrate the draw there like the other Bayern players.
