A team official says Argentina striker Sergio Aguero is undergoing medical tests for a left thigh injury and that it's still unclear whether he can continue playing in the World Cup.
Argentina spokesman Andres Ventura denied a report by Argentine newspaper Clarin on Thursday saying Aguero has been ruled out of the tournament because of a torn thigh muscle.
Ventura told The Associated Press that the report was "inaccurate" and that medical exams had not yet been completed. He said more information was expected after Argentina's practice in Belo Horizonte later Thursday.
