In an unprecedented turn of events, 36 players were sent off by the referee after a football match went wrong in Portugal.

In a junior league match being played at Caacupe, the referee had red carded two players for fighting with just around five minutes left in the match.

But the two rival players refused to leave the field of play and continued the altercation.

In no time, the other members from both team got into the act that led to a huge brawl between the two sides.
